Our company had a customer before. He sieved a kind of mineral powder. His materials ranged from 20 mesh to 200 mesh, but the customer required very high accuracy for materials in the range of 40 mesh to 70 mesh. High, 99% is required, and there is no requirement for materials in other intervals.
The customer brought materials to our company to test the Gyratory Screen to see if the screening effect can meet his expectations. The effect achieved in our company is not ideal. In the case of a production capacity of 5 tons per hour, the screening accuracy is only 93%. About (the 40-70 mesh material contains a small amount of 70 mesh or finer powder), the customer took the material to another company, the same square swinging screen, the same material, but under the condition that the accuracy is guaranteed to be 99%, it can Screen 6 tons.
We are all in the same industry and know each other very well. There is no difference in the working principle and performance of the equipment. Why is there such a big gap? Later, I learned the reason. The competitor did not buy the screen according to the customer’s request but replaced it. According to the mesh number of the mesh, the screen mesh is selected as 40 mesh and 65 mesh.
Is there such a big gap between a 65 mesh screen and a 70 mesh screen? Let me explain: If you zoom in to see the powder materials, they are all fine particles of different sizes. No matter whether you choose 65 mesh or 70 mesh, there will be a problem, that is, there is always a small part of the material and the selected mesh size. Very close, you can pass, or you can not pass. Our company chooses a 70-mesh sieve, and the 69.8-70.2-mesh particles do not pass through the sieve during sieving, while competitors use a 65-mesh sieve, and the 64.8-65.2-mesh powder may also have the same problem. The crux of the problem is that the inspection standards of the two companies are both 70-mesh inspection sieves and our company failed.
To be precise, if the customer doesn’t care about the materials in the range of 65 mesh to 70 mesh (it should be sold at a high price, but after using the 65 mesh screen, this part of the material becomes worthless), and at the same time doesn’t care about the 70 mesh – If the accuracy of the material is 200 mesh, it is correct to choose 65 mesh for the screen.
